Understanding the Psychology of Aesthetic Patients
Please note this is a recording of a live webinar
Wigmore Medical is excited to welcome Dr Louay Azoo to the floor, as he leads us through the complex and often overlooked world of
psychology in aesthetics.
The pursuit of improved physical appearance is simply a means to a psychological end. In the absence of physical disease or trauma, the aim of aesthetic medicine can be described as improved physical appearance in the pursuit of psychological benefit.
Patients seeking aesthetic treatments may be less physically vulnerable but are very often more psychologically vulnerable, a thorough
assessment of motivation and expectation is an essential part of the consultation and consent process.
Patient satisfaction in aesthetic medicine is highly subjective and based on psychological benefit following treatment. A good
psychological evaluation will lead to increased patient satisfaction and increased patient retention, which is a critical indicator of clinical performance in aesthetic medicine and essential for a successful business.
This live webinar, the first in our newly launched Psychology in Aesthetics series, will give delegates guidance on:
Understanding patient motivation and expectation
How to reduce patient dissatisfaction and increase patient retention
Assessing for unrealistic expectations
Signs that a patient may be psychologically unsuitable for treatment
Patient satisfaction and what is viewed as a successful treatment outcome in aesthetic medicine
